Anyone without a pre booked registration would have been refused entry
at the road blocks set up around the small town of Maria Worth in Austria
during the 19-22 may 2004. The revo Mk5 golf with its new 1.8T install
and their Supercharged R32 were only two cars of the estimated 3500
cars that were allowed pass the roadblocks.
Once inside you experienced a crowd of VW Audi cars not seen elsewhere
in the world… They were the latest European offerings from clubs
and enthusiasts that had gathered from Germany, Austria, Holland, Spain,
France, Croatia and many more mainland countries.
The Theme this year was low cal look with 20” chrome alloys,
and er…. Body painting? Check out our pictures for proof! It
was good to see VW there with their latest offerings, including the
1.8T limited edition polo and the V10 twin turbo Tourag.
And apart from receiving an instant fine of 25 Euros within 2 minutes
of arriving and, wait for it…. For driving on sidelights! the
event was a total success and worth every one of the grueling 2500 miles
to get there and back.
